Tanzania Camping Safari 5 Days

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart Arusha for Tarangire National Park, known for its vast elephant herds and ancient baobab trees. After setting up camp, enjoy an afternoon game drive, exploring the diverse landscape and spotting wildlife like lions, giraffes, and buffalo. Spend the night at a public campsite within or near the park, with basic camping facilities (tents, sleeping bags, and shared bathrooms).

Day 2: Tarangire to Serengeti National Park

In the morning, drive to the Serengeti, Tanzania’s most famous park, passing through scenic landscapes and local Maasai villages along the way. Upon arrival, set up camp and head out for an afternoon game drive. Spend the night at a campsite inside the park, experiencing the Serengeti’s wildlife and stunning night skies.

Day 3: Full Day in Serengeti National Park

Enjoy a full day of game drives in the Serengeti, tracking wildlife such as lions, leopards, and large herds of herbivores. Depending on the season, you may witness the Great Migration. After an exhilarating day, return to the campsite for dinner and a relaxing night under the stars.

Day 4: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

After a morning game drive in the Serengeti, depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Set up camp at a campsite on the crater rim, with stunning views of the caldera below. Enjoy a warm meal and prepare for your next day’s adventure in the world-renowned Ngorongoro Crater.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater early in the morning for a half-day game drive. The crater is home to an incredible variety of animals, including lions, elephants, rhinos, and flamingos. After a picnic lunch, ascend the crater walls and begin the journey back to Arusha, where your camping safari ends.
